Overview

These Terms of Service govern the use of services provided by ABQ Tech Dude. By requesting or using services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

ABQ Tech Dude operates as an independent, local computer repair and technology service based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.


Service Methods

Scheduled drop-off is the preferred and primary method for service.

House calls, pickup, or delivery services may be offered at the sole discretion of ABQ Tech Dude and are not guaranteed. When available, these services may incur additional fees based on time, distance, or complexity.


Diagnostics

There is no diagnostic fee.

Diagnostics are performed to identify issues, determine repair feasibility, and communicate realistic options. Diagnostics do not guarantee that a repair is possible or recommended.

If a repair does not make sense based on cost, condition, or risk, this will be communicated clearly.


Repairs and Authorization

No repair work beyond diagnostics will be performed without customer approval.

Once authorized, repairs are completed based on the agreed scope of work. Changes to scope may require additional approval.


Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of authorized work and before equipment is released.

Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of service.

Equipment will not be released until payment has been received.


Equipment Pickup and Abandonment

Customers are responsible for retrieving their equipment in a timely manner once notified that work is complete.

Any equipment not picked up within 90 days of completion or notification will be considered abandoned property.

Abandoned equipment becomes the property of ABQ Tech Dude and may be:

  • Repurposed

  • Donated

  • Recycled

  • Resold

No refunds or compensation will be provided for abandoned equipment.


Data and Liability

Customers are responsible for maintaining backups of their data.

While reasonable care is taken, ABQ Tech Dude is not responsible for data loss, whether due to hardware failure, software issues, or repair processes.

Data recovery is not guaranteed.


Unsupported or High-Risk Systems

Some systems may be deemed unsafe, unsupported, or impractical to repair due to age, condition, or software limitations.

In such cases, repair may be declined or alternatives recommended.


No Guarantees

Services are provided on a best-effort basis.

No guarantees are made regarding:

  • Lifespan of repaired equipment

  • Future failures

  • Compatibility with future software updates

Any warranties apply only to the specific work performed and do not cover unrelated issues.


Right to Refuse Service

ABQ Tech Dude reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Safety concerns

  • Unsupported equipment

  • Unreasonable expectations

  • Suspected unauthorized access requests


Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
